Chicago Vocational Career Academy (CVCA)

Infrastructure Engineering, Inc. (IEI) served as the Civil Engineer of Record for the site design of the Chicago Vocational Career Academy (CVCA). The project site is approximately 25 acres and located near 87th Street & Anthony Avenue. The site is a currently developed high school campus. The project was constructed in three phases (Bid Package – 1, 2 & 3) and the scope of each phase was as follows:

• Bid Package #1 –Public right of way (ROW) improvement and civil site development on the southeast corner parking lot and the Logistics Training area.
• Bid Package #2 – Site Improvements related with Greenhouse including Paving, Drainage & Utilities.
• Bid Package #3 – Receiving curb cut access design and site restoration and stormwater management at demolished Anthony wing.

All phases included design development and construction documents for the following project elements – site demolition, paving, grading, sanitary sewers, water services, utility layout, coordination, storm water management, underground storm water detention, driveways and coordination with permitting agencies.
